Most of the planted land benefits from a trellis system, but there are also some hectares with pergola system that are generations’ old. Warm days and cool nights allow our grapes to achieve an optimum ripeness. Scarce rain and strong sunny days create the perfect grapes. Barrancas is a uniquely rich region as it benefits from the nutrients of the Mendoza River which used to run through the estate. The wine aging in French and American barrels hand-selected by our winemaker is done in a unique cellar: an underground tunnel that joins the winery and the family home. Eligieron la zona de Barrancas en Maipú, Mendoza, por su gran potencial y singular suelo, el cauce del río Mendoza. La mayor parte de la superficie plantada se realiza mediante enrejado, pero también hay algunas hectáreas con sistema de pérgola que tienen más de 60 años. Los días cálidos y las noches frescas permiten que nuestras uvas alcancen una madurez óptima. La escasez de lluvias y el fuerte calentamiento solar garantizan un buen saneamiento de las uvas. Barrancas es una región muy privilegiada ya que es el cauce del río: antaño corría el río Mendoza donde está nuestra hacienda. Inaugurada en 2005, la bodega cuenta con depósitos de acero inoxidable con capacidad de 2 millones de litros y 1 millón de litros en piscinas de hormigón sellado con epoxi, y la última tecnología para recepción, triturado, prensado, vinificación y embotellado. La crianza del vino en barricas francesas y americanas seleccionadas por nuestros enólogos se realiza en una cava única: un túnel subterráneo que une la bodega y la casa familiar.
